INTRODUCTION

Sarvhitkari Educational Society (Regd.), Chandigarh (Punjab) was started in 1970 for imparting education of Healty lines.The Society is affiliated to "Vidya Bharti"an All India Educational Body running over 28,861 Schools and Colleges all over the country with 32,33,377 Students and 1,57,741 Teachers.

                            Sarvhitkari Education Society is its provincial unit of Punjab & Chandigarh. At present it is running 226  Schools with more than 60,000 students. We draw inspiration from Babu Dalip Chand Gupta Ji, Who was a founder of Sarvhitkari Education Society. He not only guided with his mature advice but also helped us with liberal grants of money from time to time

                            Sharda Sarvhikari Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 40-D, Chandigarh, was founded by Late Shri Shanti Sarup Sharda Ji, an eminent industrialist of Mandi Gobindgarh in April, 1985. The school has a campus extended over 2.2 acres of land. The school had humble start with 100 students upto Nursery level. But with devoted efforts of members of the staff, Principal and exemplary results of  students since its inception, the school got overwhelming patronage of parents. The school grew from strength to strength, year after year and it has now 1565 studentson roll with classes upto 10+2 level in all disciplines viz. Arts, Commerce & Science (Medical & Non-Medical) and has been affilated to C.B.S.E. (New Dehli) The school is managed by experienced educationists, administrators  drawn from various stratas of society who provide valuable guidance and also help the school in raising funds. The school is permanently recognized by the Chandigarh Administration.

PRAYAS SARVHITKARI SCIENCE CLUB 

Nothing has such power to broaden the mind as the ability to investigate systematically.To inculcate the habit of observations, increase an usiasm and capability for science. Prayas Sarvhit Science Club organizes  many activities which provide knowlege as well as entertainments.

The budding scientists brought laurels to the school in many competition organised vidya Bharti regional and National levels.   Our students bagged Ist Prize in Science model making. Sanskrit Paper reading at National Level held at Delhi this year. An educational  trip to science City was also Organised  by the club.

SARVHIT ECO CLUB

Number of activities,competitions like Rallies,Paper reading,decl mation, Poster making, angoli,workshops on paper & cloth bag making are organized by ECO club to mark the national, international days like World Food Day.Tree Plantation  Day water Conservation Day, world Ozone Day wild life week , pollution prevention day.
